Golub Capital is a private investment firm formed in 1994.

The firm's investment funds make debt and equity investments in U.S.-based middle market companies. The firm invests in businesses with established operating cash flow and sustainable proprietary positions in their markets. The firm seeks to partner with strong management teams executing long-term growth strategies.

With a broad investment mandate and a long-term horizon, the firm has the flexibility to meet the objectives of owners and senior management. The firm regularly invests in independent companies as well as in transactions supported by financial sponsors. Investment structures include refinancings, recapitalizations, traditional buyouts and growth financings. Regardless of structure, management of each business is left in the hands of its senior executives.

Typical initial investments range from $5 million to $75 million, with additional capital available for future growth. For larger transactions, substantial additional capital is available from the firm's limited partners on a co-investment basis.

“We decided to use Golub Capital to provide the debt financing for the acquisition of Best Lighting because of their ability to structure an innovative one stop debt facility. By working with a single lender the financing process was much more efficient and less costly. Golub is a terrific partner and added a lot of value to the diligence process as well.”
